Monica Matthews-Smith is a writer, mentor, motivational speaker, designer, health coach, and entrepreneur. Her style of writing and performing has been recognized within her community as being an influential source for impacting the mind, body, and spirit of her captivated audience.
Monica has performed at various open mic venues, private events, social gatherings, churches, schools, and community events. Showcases of her live performances have been witnessed in Milwaukee, WI; Chicago, Ill; Gilbert, AZ; Houston, TX; Austin, TX; Baytown, TX; Nashville, TN; and Atlanta, GA. She was a guest on the Sunday Morning Live Show, which aired on a local Comcast station in Nashville, TN and surrounding areas. Matthews-Smith was featured in the July/September 2012 issue of The Indiegator Magazine, The March 2016 feature on the website of Celebrity Impersonator, M-Prov, She was featured at the well-established venue The Comfort Zone (hosted by Baritone The Poet) in February 2015. She was a featured guest on The Kingdom Network (an internet radio broadcast) and the featured artist for the September Artist Review blog by Towerlight Records. Monica was also the featured poet for eight (8) consecutive months for the Monthly Word N' Jazz event produced by her church, Apostolic Tabernacle. This event took place at Coffee Groundz coffee shop in Downtown Houston. Monica's commentary work has also been published on Yahoo Voices, in the local category, describing various events and happenings around Houston, Texas.

Monica is a native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and currently resides in Houston, Texas with her husband.
